Everything you need to know about the Hackathon competition
The NMSS IT Fest Hackathon is a 12-hour coding competition where participants work in teams to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. This event challenges your technical skills, creativity, and teamwork under time pressure.
Teams will be presented with problem statements at the beginning of the event and will have 12 hours to design, develop, and present their solutions. Three Judges/experts will evaluate the projects based on Innovation/ UI-UX/ Presentation/ Idea, etc.
Projects should focus on solving challenges in areas like agriculture, education, healthcare, tourism, or governance through innovative digital solutions.

This hackathon is open only to school students studying at the Diploma or +2 level. Students from other levels or institutions are not eligible to participate.
No, solo participation is not allowed. Each team must have a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 4 members.
Yes, this is a paid hackathon. The registration fee is Rs. 1000 per team. Only pre-registration is allowed. On-spot registration after the event starts will not be accepted.
The hackathon is conducted in offline mode. The venue is Narayani Model Secondary School, Bharatpur.
Participants must bring their own laptop, charger, and any other tools or materials required for development. Organizers will not provide personal devices.
Yes, water and snacks will be provided by the organizers. Wi-Fi and electricity facilities will also be available throughout the event.
Limited use of AI is allowed. Participants are encouraged to focus on building their own logic and implementation. Fully AI-generated projects are not allowed.
Team Formation
Each team must consist of 2–4 members. Solo participation is not allowed.
Project Rules
Pre-made templates and copied projects are strictly prohibited. Limited AI usage is allowed, but core logic must be built by participants.
Technology Stack
Participants may use any programming language or framework.
Submission Requirements
Final submission must include source code (GitHub link) and a 10-minute presentation.
